Festival organiser Shaun Latham, said: “Last year’s Oceanfest16 festival was incredible and memorable for all the right reasons, and we definitely expect the Kaiser Chiefs headlining the music announcement to trigger a sell out this year. The entire team has been working real hard to make sure this year’s event is not only an awesome show but also the coolest seaside weekend out for the whole family with fairground rides, circus skills workshops, giant bubbles, crazy inflatables, delicious food, more stages and a guaranteed laugh with the new Comedy Avengers.”
Friday 16th June - Sigma DJ Set
Having performed at major festivals, including Glastonbury and Reading Festival, as well as selling out legendary club nights from Ibiza’s Amnesia to London’s Fabric, this dance/pop duo are set to kick off the festivities at this year’s GoldCoast Oceanfest on Friday night. Their chart-topping hits including Nobody to Love, Changing and Find Me are sure to set the vibe for an electrifying weekend.
Saturday 17th June - Kaiser Chiefs
Headlining Saturday night is the multi-platinum British indie/rock band Kaiser Chiefs. With modern classics including I Predict A Riot and Ruby in their repertoire, they’re guaranteed to get you on your feet and singing along. Now on their sixth studio album, Kaiser Chiefs have firmly earned their place in the indie/rock hall of fame.
Sunday 18th June - Scouting for Girls
2017 celebrates 10 years since Scouting for Girls’ first major record deal, when their self-titled album was released in 2007. With four Brit Award nominations and a plethora of hits under their belt, including She’s So Lovely and Elvis Ain’t Dead, they’re the perfect headliners to celebrate Father’s Day on Sunday night.
