Planning the right holiday is important, the best holidays stay long in the memory and bring a smile to your face when you look back at them. Whatever your budget, Parkdean Resorts can help you in creating amazing memories. This guide will help you plan a holiday on a budget, without losing sight of what’s important.

Step One – Find the right location

While all of our Holiday Parks are competitively priced, rates do vary by location. If you have your heart set on a particular Park then you could be spending more money than you might elsewhere, particularly if it’s at one of the most popular resorts or regions in the country! Keep an open mind and you could end up discovering a hidden gem or a place you’ll want to visit for years to come.

Step Two – Decide when you’re going

Everyone wants to take their holiday during school holidays - for obvious reasons. But summer-time isn’t the only time to visit a beautiful location. While things might be a little quieter outside of the popular holiday times, a little peace and quiet might be just what you’re looking for. You’ll also have your pick of the pitches and will be first in line at popular local attractions. A February half-term break may not be guaranteed sunshine, but that doesn’t mean you can’t take your family away on an adventure holiday, or enjoy a quiet break in the countryside.

Step Three – Keep an eye open for amazing deals.

We’re always looking to share great deals and find ways to help you make savings here at Parkdean. Make sure you keep an eye on our home page which is updated on a daily basis with savings to be made, or head to our offers page to see all of our current deals and pick up a last minute bargain if you can travel at short notice.

Step Four – On-Park attractions and discounts

All of our parks have a variety of facilities and attractions that can help you make savings. For instance, all of our parks include Free Wifi and have on-park entertainment and Kids’ Clubs as well as bars – you can have a great night out without having to spend big money! Visit the park reception during your stay and they will be able to offer advice on some of the best local attractions for you to visit, with exclusive discounted entry often available too!

Step Five – Eating in

One of the big costs of a holiday is food. While we all love to eat out, visit restaurants and try local delicacies, there’s nothing wrong with a packed lunch or a healthy sandwich. Striking a balance between dining out and having a healthy home-cooked or pre-prepared meal at least once a day may mean you can do and see more over the course of your holiday. All of our caravans and holiday homes have cooking and food storage facilities as standard, whilst on park you will also find a supermarket stocked with all the essentials, making it simple for you to make big savings.

Step Six – Book in advance

Booking in advance has a number of advantages – not only can you take advantage of deals or benefit from reduced deposits in some cases, but it allows you to set budgets without having to dash through last minute calculations. Plan ahead, book the places you want to stay and then budget just how much you’ll have to spend, it’ll make the day-to-day money management a whole lot easier. You’ll also have much greater choice across our accommodation range, meaning you could secure the best accommodation for your needs. See which is the best caravan for you.
