What’s more romantic than strolling hand in hand along one of Britain’s many stunning coastlines? The UK is packed with romantic holiday destinations. But, which are the best? Robin Hood’s Bay is the perfect destination for couples if you’re looking for somewhere to relax with a charming atmosphere. This dreamy fishing village, nestled on the North Yorkshire Coast between Whitby and Scarborough, is renowned for its history and character – easily making it one of the UK’s most romantic holiday destinations.

Cayton Bay Holiday Park is just over half an hour’s away from Robin Hood’s Bay along a scenic route. When driving north from Cayton Bay, you’ll pass through the historic seaside town of Scarborough. Why not stop off at Ravenscar, offering clifftop views to take your breath away.

Whether it’s getting lost together walking the cobbles of the maze-like streets or grabbing each other’s hand on the Robin Hood’s Bay Ghost Walk, you’ll find plenty to connect over on a trip to Robin Hood’s Bay.

Rye, East Sussex

A charming cobbled street lined with historic houses and shops

Taking a stroll around the picture-perfect hilltop town of Rye you’ll feel as though you’ve taken a step back in time. This pretty English village in East Sussex is full of charming cobbled streets, fascinating shops and medieval buildings. It’s the perfect place to escape from the stresses of everyday life and make some memories.

Stop by the Mermaid Street Café for a delicious homemade scotch egg or grab a comforting drink by the fireplace at the historic Mermaid Inn, famously still standing since the 1400s.

Just a few miles away you’ll find the golden shores of Camber Sands Beach, where a romantic stroll along the sand is guaranteed. If you’re feeling up to it there are a range of walking and cycle routes from Rye to Camber Sands or you can hop on one of the regular bus services to simply sit back and enjoy the ride. The magic of Rye is also just a 10-minute drive from Camber Sands Holiday Park - making it the perfect base for your romantic escape.

Located 20 minutes’ drive away from Kessingland Beach Holiday Park, Southwold in Suffolk is the perfect place to take a romantic beach trip. Southwold is not your typical English seaside resort - and you won’t find arcades, amusements, fun fairs or candy floss, just traditional seaside beauty and solitude.

What better way to spend time together than by exploring the beautiful beach, taking in the views of the multi-coloured beach huts and walking along the 810-foot pier? Once you’ve worked up an appetite, head to one of Southwold’s quaint pubs or restaurants and enjoy a nice candlelit dinner, or if you want to explore more you can visit the Southwold Lighthouse, which was built in 1890, boasting wonderful 360-degree views. The seaside town of Llandudno in North Wales is the epitome of Welsh charm and romance, making it an excellent choice if you’re looking for a coastal destination that’s perfect for couples.

Getting up to Great Orme is all a part of its charm, as you can enjoy the fresh air taking the steep walk up to the summit by following the tram tracks.
