Holiday Home Running Costs

From finding your perfect park to falling in love with that dream caravan or lodge - buying a holiday home is a very exciting time. Just like a normal house, holiday homes have a set of charges, including pitch fees, insurance, gas & electricity and water rates. Before you take your first steps into ownership, you should consider these running costs.

We’ve outlined some of the typical costs you can expect as an owner below. All of these will be explained in detail when you visit the park of your choice.

Insurance

You’re required to ensure your holiday home is protected with valid insurance. We offer a range of insurance packages from £117 to £475 depending on your park, age and size of holiday home, as well as the level of cover you require.

Alternative insurance is accepted with proof of policy.

Electricity & Gas

Electricity is charged at the same rate which Parkdean Resorts pays for electricity, based on the individual meter for your holiday home. The cost of gas bottles varies by park. Piped and bulk gas will be charged at the supplier's recommended retail price and is based upon meter readings.

Rates, Water & Drainage

Rates, sewerage and water charges vary by park, but you should expect to pay between £340 and £1,500 a year for these costs. You will be invoiced annually in April for your rates, water and drainage.
