The cost of a holiday home varies depending on the park you choose, as well as the model and size of the holiday home. We have a wide selection of static caravans and lodges to suit all requirements and budgets, both new and pre-owned. A pre-owned caravan can usually be bought from £8,995 subject to availability.
One of the benefits of buying your own holiday home is being able to enjoy holidays when you want to. Many of our holiday parks have an extended season exclusively for our owners, giving you more time to enjoy your holiday home as often as you like during this time. The length of the season varies by park, ranging from 8 months up to 12 months. During this time, some facilities and entertainment may not run outside of the standard holidaymaker season. Contact your chosen park for further information on the season length.
Parkdean Resorts does not operate any residential parks, therefore you cannot occupy your holiday home on a residential basis. When buying your holiday home, you will be required to provide proof of your permanent residential address elsewhere. There are no council tax charges on holiday parks, and for that reason there is a limit to the number of consecutive days you are allowed to stay in your holiday home. The park where you choose to purchase your holiday home will advise what the maximum number of consecutive days is allowed at that park as per the site license provided by the Local Authority.
When buying a holiday home, you should always be aware of the annual running costs that come with owning a static caravan or lodge. These include; annual pitch fees, gas, water and electricity, insurance and any safety tests. We aim to keep your annual costs as low as possible, and you can find more information in our Buyers Guide. You maybe able to offset these costs if you join our sub-letting scheme.
When you buy your holiday home with Parkdean Resorts, you will be given the opportunity to join our Easylet scheme. Easylet allows us to let your holiday home to holidaymakers when you aren't using it, so you can earn an income from your holiday home to help offset your annual running costs. We will advertise your holiday home for you and take care of all correspondence with holidaymakers , as well as cleaning your holiday home in between lets. We also offer a guaranteed income scheme on certain parks whereby you provide 6 peak weeks of 7 nights duration each and we guarantee that you will receive the holiday income, whether we let your holiday home or not. Many holiday home owners find it useful to offset their annual running costs by letting their holiday home at the times of the year when they aren't using it. At Parkdean Resorts we operate a popular Easylet scheme giving you the flexibility of letting your holiday home when you aren't using it, for a small commission charge. Alternatively, on some parks we also offer a Guaranteed Income scheme, if you provide 6 peak weeks of 7 night durations, we guarantee that you will receive the holiday income even if we don't let your holiday home. If choosing this option, the park will provide you with details of which are the peak weeks.
We understand that owning your own caravan is about enjoying the experience with friends and family. You’re welcome to invite friends and family to join you, and you will be provided with up to 8 seasonal entertainment passes so that your guests can enjoy the facilities on park too. We do ask that all visitors check in at reception upon arrival.
To take part in the Parkdean Resorts Easy Let scheme, your caravan must be no more than 7 years old. The Holiday Home Sales Manager on your holiday park will be able to give more detailed advice on the potential grade and earning guide for your holiday home.
Owning your own holiday home is a big commitment, and it is important that you are happy with the location and holiday park where you choose to own your caravan or lodge. If you own a static holiday home at another holiday park, and you would like to move to a Parkdean Resorts holiday park, we will always do our best to accommodate you. We can take care of all of the arrangements for you to move your holiday home to one of our holiday parks, and cover the cost of transportation (up to £500). We also have part exchange offers, should you wish to upgrade your old holiday home for a new model when you move.
When you buy a holiday home, the location of your new static caravan or lodge is as important as the holiday home itself. You can have a choice of available pitch options at the holiday park you choose to own at. Selected premium pitches will have slightly higher fees, which will be explained to you by the Holiday Home Sales Manager when you buy your holiday home.
After buying your holiday home with Parkdean Resorts, your circumstances may change or you may just want a newer model. You can upgrade from your existing holiday home at any time, and our knowledgeable Owners Elite team on park will be able to advise you on what steps to take next. Any outstanding finance on your existing agreement will be settled and replaced with a new agreement.
We offer a number of part exchange deals on our holiday homes, for both new and existing holiday home owners. You can part exchange against an existing holiday home on one of our parks or elsewhere, and we also offer part exchange deals on touring caravans and motorhomes.
After becoming a holiday home owner, we appreciate that your circumstances may change, and you may decide that you want to sell your holiday home. Our dedicated Owners Elite team will be able to help you with this process, from you providing a notice period, to the options available to you such as selling your holiday home privately or back to Parkdean Resorts.
When you become an owner with Parkdean Resorts, the licence agreement for the pitch that you occupy will state the specific period of time that your caravan or lodge can be kept on the park. Our Holiday Home Sales team will be able to provide further information and advice on this.
Parkdean Resorts operates 67 pet friendly holiday parks. Responsible owners are welcome to bring their pet to their holiday home, providing you respect other owners and holidaymakers on the park, and at the discretion of the General Manager at the holiday park. Most dog breeds are welcome in your caravan or lodge, though some breeds of dog, including those listed on the Dangerous Dogs Act are not allowed. Please check with the holiday park in advance before bringing your pet.
We offer a choice of payment plans when you buy a caravan or lodge, including a low deposit scheme. You can become a holiday home owner with a deposit from 10% of the purchase price, or £1,000 - whichever is the higher. The deposit will vary by model of static caravan or lodge, so please check with the Holiday Home Sales Advisor on the holiday park. Parkdean Resorts is a member of both the National Caravan Council (NCC) and the British Holday & Home Parks Association (BHHPA) giving you added assurance that an established code of practice is in place.
Becoming a holiday home owner is a large financial commitment and as a broker Parkdean Resorts can introduce you to a limited panel of lenders to help get you onto the holiday home ownership ladder. Your Holiday Home Sales Advisor will be able to discuss this in more detail and provide you with a competitive quote. Finance is available subject to status and a minimum deposit.
When you become an owner at a Parkdean Resorts holiday park, you will have access to exclusive events and parties for owners. Some of our holiday parks also provide facilities exclusively for the use of holiday home owners. The Owners Elite team on the park will be able to advise on the owner events calendar for the year.
We have a wide range of static caravans and lodges for sale on our holiday parks, meaning the standard features that come with your holiday home will vary by model. We recommend arranging an appointment at your chosen holiday park, where one of our specialist holiday sales advisors will be able to talk you through and show you the range of holiday homes for sale, as well as the features that come with each. Additional features, fixtures and fittings can be added to your holiday home, for additional cost and the Sales Advisor will be able to assist with this.
Parkdean Resorts operates family holiday parks and aim to provide a safe and secure environment for all of our holidaymakers and owners. All new holiday home owners will be offered a Ramtech alarm system for their caravan or lodge. The alarm can be purchased and fitted for an additional charge, with an annual maintenance fee also payable.
Many of our holiday parks have new and pre-owned caravans adapted for wheelchair users and people with limited mobility. It is recommeneded that you arrange an appointment at your chosen holiday park, where the Holiday Home Sales Advisor will be able to answer any questions regarding accessible holiday homes, wheelchair access to the facilities and provide detailed accessibility statement upon request.
Some elements of the sale may include VAT. A VAT invoice will be provided to you on request.
We want you to enjoy every visit to your holiday home, and the team on park work hard to exceed your expectations every time. If you ever feel that the service you have receieved did not meet your expectations, or if you wish to compliment a member of the team for exceeding your expectations, we have a formal process in place for you to provide your feedback. During your stay you should contact the General Manager and/or park reception, who will try to resolve any queries you have during your stay. Should you wish to follow up or provide feedback after your stay, please use the contact us section of the website.
There has been a lot of care taken over the design and manufacture of your holiday home, but to give you added peace of mind, you have a guarantee for a period of 12 months from the date you purchase your holiday home. All of our new and pre-owned holiday homes come with a 12 month warranty. Some manufacturer warranties provide additional elements of cover, and these vary depending on the manufacturer of the caravan you have purchased. Please check with your Holiday Homes Sales Advisor for the warranty on the holiday home that you are purchasing.
