At Parkdean Resorts, careers really do have the freedom to fly!

Let us introduce you to Rebecca Airey, who joined the family at Limefitt Holiday Park back in February 2020 as an apprentice. Rebecca decided to join the apprenticeship programme and study for her Hospitality Team Member Level 2 qualification stating, “I wanted to do this apprenticeship to help me with my knowledge on how admin works in a business and how a business like Parkdean Resorts runs. Doing this apprenticeship has helped me with my confidence whilst at work, as this has shown me the best way to speak to customers and how to deal with complaints.”

Not only has Rebecca successfully completed her apprenticeship, developing fantastic hospitality skills and knowledge, but she did it in the middle of what was to be one of the trickiest years for hospitality due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

“The support I have had throughout the year from everyone especially my General Manager, and the Apprenticeship team has been brilliant, as they’ve always been there if I needed help with anything."

Due to Rebecca's outstanding performance over the last 18 months and the skills acquired through her Hospitality Team Member Level 2 apprenticeship, she has now been offered a full time established contract with Parkdean Resorts in a management role. We couldn't be more excited for her!

“When Rebecca joined my team at Limefitt she was very shy and eager to learn. Through her apprenticeship work and on the job experience she has been up skilled to understand the values and processes of our business and also developed the positive, can-do attitude that is needed with working in hospitality. This has seen her fully manage and run check in days, train new employees on our systems and processes and, most recently, take charge of our admin department in the absence of an admin manager. Rebecca's appointment as our new Admin Manager at Limefitt is the result of the hard work, dedication and eagerness to learn and develop herself that she has shown throughout her apprenticeship programme. Furthermore, her promotion is a real testimony to the learning and development programmes that our company offers and the opportunities provided to our people.”
