As reported in the Skegness Standard on 14 May 2020, Parkdean Resorts’ Southview Holiday Park, in Skegness, provided free accommodation to three front-line NHS workers from Skegness and District General Hospital and Pilgrim Hospital, Boston, during the Coronavirus crisis.

After government instruction in March to shut the park, it was left empty, save for a handful of key security and maintenance staff. The park took the decision to contact the local healthcare trust to offer free accommodation on the park to NHS key workers, in need of a convenient place to stay at the end of their shifts, or living with any vulnerable or at-risk family members.

The park accommodated the three key workers for a combined total of 47 nights and an equivalent value of £3,773. Parkdean Resorts employs almost 200 people at Southview Holiday Park and earlier this year, we announced an investment of more than £550,000 in the park, to renovate facilities and upgrade existing accommodation and refit the restaurant as part of an £80million investment in our business across Britain.
