Since 2019, the team at Ocean Edge Holiday Park in Lancashire have been in partnership with the local Lancaster and Morecombe College, providing a variety of work experience to college students.
The on-park work experience is part of the Holiday Park module on the Travel and Tourism course and offers students the chance to understand and experience what it’s like to work on a busy holiday park.
As part of their placements, the students are given the opportunity to work across the wide range of roles available on park, including the entertainment team, holiday home sales, accommodation and maintenance.
Pictured below, Kiah first came to Ocean Edge Holiday Park on a placement from the college and her colleagues now refer to her as a “star” receptionist and an asset to the Parkdean Resorts family.
