Parkdean Resorts appoints Jane Bates to new role of Director of Procurement and Sustainability

Parkdean Resorts, the UK’s leading holiday park operator, has appointed Jane Bates to the newly-created role of Director of Procurement and Sustainability.

Jane has worked across various sectors and supply chains over 30 years, and joined Parkdean in 2020 as Director of Procurement. With a Certificate in Business and Climate Change from the Cambridge Institute of Sustainability Leadership, and having served as Executive Sponsor of Procurement and CSR in her last role, on the board at engineering and construction business, SPIE UK, she also brings high level practical sustainability expertise, and will oversee the implementation of Parkdean’s new ESG strategy in 2022 as part of her expanded remit.

Jane has been working on a new supplier partnership to help Parkdean make a significant sustainability commitment, reducing CO2 by 13% year on year across the company’s 67 parks. However, her new role will encompass far more than sustainability in procurement, instead focusing on embedding sustainability across Parkdean’s entire operation, bridging the gap between other arms of the business to ensure that sustainability is at the heart of the way Parkdean does business.
