The UK's leading holiday park operator, Parkdean Resorts, conducted research into the impact of Covid-19 on the travel and tourism industry and discovered that the demand for staycations is set to rise.

After surveying 2,500 people across the UK and analysing their own booking and search volume data, they found that the majority of people (53%) intend to holiday in the UK in 2022, compared to 25% who intend to holiday in Europe and 6% in the USA.

Chief Customer Officer, Catherine Lynn said: “Demand has increased, and the UK’s appetite for staycations remained high throughout 2021, even as international travel opened up again. Bookings were strong throughout September and October, and we’re looking forward to another busy year in 2022.”
