• January - Bodmin Wassail: A historic Cornish event that has been happening for 400 years always 12 days after Christmas (The Twelfth Night). This Pagan tradition consists of groups of singers with a communal wassail bowl filled with warm spiced cider, perry or ale. The Bodmin Wassailers travel around various places across town raising money for charity and the long-time tradition is a great thing to see.
• March - St Piran’s Day also known as Cornwall’s National Day: Held on the 5th of March every year, parades and celebrations take place in a range of Cornish towns on this day.
• April - Cornwall Garden Society’s Spring Flower Show: The stunning arrangements and displays from florist artists and exhibits are a must-visit if you’re in Cornwall during April. There’s also the Porthleven Food Festival in April, which is a free three-day celebration of all things food, particularly Cornish foods and local delicacies.
• June - The Royal Cornwall Show: This agricultural celebration is held for three days every June, with live entertainment, funfair rides, local food stalls and plenty of wildlife and animals to see, a perfect day out for the whole family.
• September - St Ives September Festival: Celebrating music, arts and live entertainment for two weeks, this is one of the oldest community music festivals and a must-visit if you’re in Cornwall during September.
• August - Newlyn Fish Festival: Cornwall's annual celebration of the sea, the fish festival is held every August bank holiday Monday and consists of live cookery, entertainment, plenty for the kids and lots of fish.
• December - Fowey Christmas Market: Held on a weekend in Early December, get into the festive spirit and wander through a range of stalls featuring handmade gifts and crafts, taste locally produced food and enjoy live entertainment.
