About Hunstanton

A vintage funfair, a flower-filled Victorian esplanade, gentle seas perfect for water sports and a whopping golden sand beach, Hunstanton has all the ingredients for a perfect day out by the seaside. But there are more than classic beachside amusements here.

Hunstanton is known for its unique candy-striped cliffs and for being the country’s only east coast resort that faces west, which blesses the seaside town with colourful, soul-soothing sunsets. During the daytime, you can get an up-close view of the coast on a seal safari. Departing from Hunstanton, you’ll cruise down to the Wash, a wildlife-rich habitat of saltmarshes, lagoon and dunes, in search of these lovable animals.

You can meet and even feed rescued seals at the Hunstanton Sea Life Sanctuary. This special centre rehabilitates wild pups back to health before returning them to the ocean. Visit to learn about their ways and see other gorgeous marine life including turtles, penguins and sharks.
