Over 2 million people are expected to come and watch the race, with an influx of big names and cycling celebrities on the journey.

About the Tour de Yorkshire
The Tour de Yorkshire is a road cycling race in Yorkshire, which started in 2015. The event is rated as a 2.1 event as part of the UCI Europe Tour and welcomes millions of spectators to the region each year. This year, the event will take place from 2-5 May, taking in eight start and finish location.

Professional cyclists and budding novices are welcomed to take part in the race, which passes through several key places in Yorkshire including the market town of Beverley, the seaside resort of Scarborough and Leeds city centre.
