We invested £70 million in our holiday parks in 2021, including a £12.3 million investment in three of our ‘parks of the future’ – Cayton Bay, Sandford and Trecco Bay – which received modern accommodation upgrades and significant facility developments. The nationwide investment builds upon a £70 million investment in 2020 and a further £37m in 2019.
As part of the investment, we’re introducing a whole new range of activities for all age groups across our parks. Brand new activities include a dog agility course, outdoor sports courts, crazy golf, high ropes course, Laser Quest, our Arts & Crafts Dens, and many more entertaining activities. The new Sports Domes on our parks also offer a wide range of exciting activities, including state-of-the-art virtual reality games and a new adventure playground, as well as hover boards and bungee trampolines.
Following the launch of the Bear Grylls Survival Academy in 2020, we introduced even more themed survival missions in 2021, delivering an engaging understanding of Bear Grylls’ survival skills that the whole family can enjoy.
As well as exciting new activities and facility upgrades, we’ve also invested in brand new accommodation across our estate, including the newly developed ‘Durdle Glamping Village’ at Sandford holiday park, featuring 12 new luxury Safari tents.
