How many guests can sleep within the Hall?

Fallbarrow Hall has accommodation for up to 36 people and is the largest exclusive hire house in the Lake District. If you are hosting a wedding or event at the Hall, the dining room can accommodate 50 guests in total. The house has 15 bedrooms with En suites with the main house and two apartments located within the court yard.

Do you do small weddings?

It makes no difference to us if you have 2 guests or 50 guests. The Price is for the exclusive hire of the Hall including all the accommodation regardless of how many guests you plan to have stay within the property.

Does the hall have enough Cutlery for during our stay?

We do have enough ‘everyday cutlery’ within the Hall. If you’re planning a formal meal which requires starter forks and knives and additional sets of cutlery. We would recommend hiring this in externally.

Do you have a minimum night stay within the Hall?

Yes – we offer a minimum stay of three nights. (however do offer a 2 night midweek option)

What facilities does the Hall have?

The Hall boasts a private cocktail bar ready for you to stock with all your favourite tipples. A cosy library, a state-of-the-art cinema room, and a basement games room equipped with a pool table and ping pong table. There's even a dedicated chill-out space designed especially for children and two hot tubs to allow guests to savour the tranquillity of this idyllic location.

I can see the Hall is right on the edge of Lake Windermere, can I arrange a boat from the Hall?

You cant arrange boat trips directly from the Hall, however only 5 minutes walk away you have Lake Windermere cruises which you can arrange to charter a boat from.

Is there any table linen or napkins included?

In our dining room, we have solid oak dining tables, if you would add any additional décor, for example table linen, napkins and charger plates. You are more than welcome to bring your own or we can recommend an external venue dresser for you.

We don’t allow camping at the Hall, however we do have lots of lodges and caravans that surround the Hall, feel free to get in touch with us and we can cost this for you.

Do you have any additional costs at the Hall that I need to be aware about?

When you book the Hall for a wedding, we do have a wedding supplement, this cost is in addition to the accommodation cost. The supplement will give you full wedding support along with wedding planning meetings and coordination on the wedding day, this is along with our drinks package (providing reception drinks wedding breakfast wine and toast drinks)

I can see the Hall has a cocktail bar, is the bar stocked? or can I bring my own alcohol?

The Hall does indeed have a magnificent cocktail bar. The bar is full of glassware and ready for you to stock with your favourite drinks.

Does the bar come with staff?

As the house is self catering it doesn’t come with bar staff included, this enables you to bring your own drinks and self serve or you can hire staff to come and work the bar for you please ask your coordinator for more details on this.
