Parkdean Resorts has become the only holiday park operator in the UK to hold five-out-of-five Food Hygiene Ratings across all of its parks, as Weeley Bridge Holiday Park in Essex becomes the final park within its portfolio to achieve top marks.

The Food Hygiene Rating Scheme is managed by the Food Standards Agency, and helps customers choose where to eat out by sharing information on operators’ hygiene levels. An esteemed five-out-of-five rating is awarded to those meeting the very highest standard of food preparation, handling, and kitchen practices.

Parkdean Resorts is the largest holiday park operator in the UK. Its 65 holiday parks offer a wide variety of food and drink outlets, including bars, restaurants, cafes, and pop ups and takeaways serving ice cream, pizza, fish and chips, and more.

Tracey Colbert, Director of On-Park Compliance and Safety at Parkdean Resorts, comments: “Recording these top marks across all our holiday parks is an immense achievement for Parkdean Resorts. Ensuring the safety of our holidaymakers is our top priority, and we wouldn’t have been able to achieve such a great accolade without each of our food and beverage teams putting this at the forefront of their day-to-day operations.”

Earlier this year, Parkdean Resorts scored record breaking results in the Tripadvisor Traveller’s Choice Awards after a total of 32 of its parks received awards from the world’s largest travel guidance platform. The Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards recognise the top 10% of businesses that consistently earn positive reviews, and honour select accommodations, attractions and restaurants which demonstrate a commitment to hospitality excellence.
