When our holiday homeowners buy with us, we promise to provide them with a clear, straightforward, and enjoyable experience. We walk new holiday homeowners through the costs and support them every step of the way: from the moment they decide to buy, to the moment they get their keys and all the way through their holiday home ownership.
Transparency
We give our holiday homeowners all the information they need to know about owning a holiday home with us. That means walking them through all the key parts of their pitch licence agreement during a welcome meeting and sending them a comprehensive video. It is important that they take time to read this information. The pitch licence agreement is the legal contract between our holiday homeowners and Parkdean Resorts and clearly lays out the terms and conditions of their holiday home ownership and the arrangements between us.
10-day cooling off period
We want our holiday homeowners to be sure they have made the right decision when purchasing their holiday home from us, which is why we offer a cooling-off period. Once they’ve placed the order and signed the agreement, they have 10 working days to change their mind and cancel. If they decide they no longer wish to own a holiday home, we will give them a full refund. More information can be found in the agreement.
30-day money back guarantee
We’re so certain that our holiday homeowners will love their new holiday home, we offer them a 30-day money back guarantee if they’re a new customer. Once they have received their keys, they have up to 30 days to change their mind and we will refund them the price they paid, minus a standard administration fee of £500*.
Annual pitch fee clarity
We will only ever increase pitch fees by inflation (measured using the RPI rate in June), unless increased taxes or new regulations or laws are imposed by the government or other authorities. We will always make sure our holiday homeowners know, with plenty of notice, the reasons for any increases above and beyond inflation.
No finance commission
We do not receive commission on any holiday home financing.
Minimum 15-year tenure
When someone buys a new holiday home from us, they will always have at least 15 years tenure and it can be as high as 40 years depending on what and where they buy. We are proud to say this is longer than the industry minimum of 12 years.
12-month warranty
To give our holiday homeowners peace of mind, when they purchase a holiday home from us, they will receive a 12-month warranty as a minimum, free of charge. If it’s a new holiday home, they will receive the manufacturer’s warranty. If it’s an approved used holiday home, they will receive a Parkdean Resorts warranty which covers all parts of the holiday home, excluding any parts which are covered by a third-party guarantee. Renting out your holiday home
As well as enjoying their own holidays, many of our holiday homeowners choose to rent out their holiday homes and use the income to help offset their running costs. Our scheme, called Your Lets, helps our owners rent out their holiday home hassle-free. Our owners also have the option to rent out their holiday home privately too.
You can leave at any time
If an owner decides to sell their holiday home, they can do this at any time and we ensure the process is as smooth as possible. It’s important to us that they have all the information they need to make the right decision for them, so we provide a helpful video which explains their options. They can sell to who they like and when they like, but options include selling privately, taking their caravan off the park, or selling it back to us if we come to an agreement.
Owners Connected
Plus, to make ownership even easier, our holiday homeowners have 24-hour access to the exclusive online Owner portal called Owners Connected. Here they can make payments, review account statements, access offers, and view events calendars to find out what’s happening on-park.
