Team members from Romney Sands Holiday Park, owned by Parkdean Resorts, have been praised for their quick thinking after they were able to resuscitate a holidaymaker who was in cardiac arrest.
The team, including a colleague who is studying to become a paramedic, were recently alerted to a holidaymaker in need of medical attention. Upon arrival at the caravan, they found the person in cardiac arrest and immediately took action.
Julie, Rachael, Kieran and Amelia called 999, and alternated CPR every two minutes with the help of an emergency medical advisor on the phone. By the time paramedics arrived on the scene, the patient was conscious and responding.
The patient has gone on to make a good recovery. We are so proud of Julie, Rachael, Kieran and Amelia for staying calm, acting fast and using their training.
