In a powerful step towards driving societal and economic change, Parkdean Resorts proudly announces its commitment to Social Recruitment by signing the Social Recruitment Covenant. This landmark initiative brings together hundreds of organisations across the UK that share the same values and commitment when supporting individuals facing barriers to employment.

Created by PeoplePlus, and championed by the Social Recruitment Advocacy Group, the Covenant underlines dedication to creating an inclusive workforce. The Social Recruitment Covenant is a non-binding pledge that encourages employers to adopt inclusive recruitment and employment practices, aiming to support individuals who face barriers to employment, such as people with disabilities and those from underrepresented communities.

Parkdean Resorts is proud to sign the Social Recruitment Covenant, an initiative that aligns with three of its core values of care, belonging and difference, making sure to create inclusive opportunities and foster a workplace where everyone feels valued and empowered to thrive.

Access to quality employment opportunities is vital to the health and prosperity of our nation. It plays a key role in lifting people out of poverty, bringing purpose to individuals’ lives, and underpinning strong, resilient, and economically productive communities. High levels of unemployment and economic inactivity can lead to regional disparities, creating ‘black spots’ where employers struggle to recruit people into their workforce. Parkdean Resorts provides employment opportunities to its local communities and 78% of its employees live within a 10-mle radius.

Parkdean Resorts employs over 8,000 people across the UK, and last year welcomed over 3 million holidaymakers to its 65 parks across England, Scotland, and Wales. The holiday park operator has recorded record results in this year’s Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards, with 32 of its parks and hotels recognised among the top 10% of businesses consistently earning positive reviews.
