Thunderbird Fried Chicken has opened its first ever branch on the Isle of Wight. Located within Lower Hyde Holiday Park, this marks the eighth of Parkdean Resorts’ parks to roll out the award-winning fried chicken brand, which will be open to the local community to takeaway, as well as park guests.

Thunderbird Fried Chicken is renowned for its irresistible fried chicken, served in buns and wraps, and in strip and wing form alongside a selection of sauces. The menu also features a range of sides from fries to tater tots, and churros for dessert.

Paul Gilchrist, CEO of Thunderbird Fried Chicken, said: “I’m delighted with Parkdean Resorts' continued roll-out of the Thunderbird Fried Chicken brand. We've enjoyed a great relationship with the Parkdean team for over five years now, and the Lower Hyde location brings our total to eight restaurants. It’s a testament to how much their holidaymakers enjoy our premium fried chicken."

Darryn Yeowell, General Manager at Lower Hyde Holiday Park, said: “We’re excited to open our first Thunderbird Fried Chicken branch on the Isle of Wight at Lower Hyde Holiday Park, continuing the strong relationship we have with the brand. Their award-winning fried chicken continues to be a firm favourite with owners and guests to our holiday parks.”

Lower Hyde is one of four Parkdean Resorts parks on the Isle of Wight. The park boasts a range of activities including indoor and outdoor swimming, a multi sports court, an amusement arcade, and live entertainment. In addition to Thunderbird Fried Chicken, families can enjoy food on park at The Barnhouse Bar & Restaurant, Costa Coffee, and the Entertainment Venue.
