At Parkdean Resorts we are committed to our relationship with our holiday home owners and with this in mind, we have created a support package that will help you over the next 18 months. We have provided further details and key information on this package below.

This balanced package has five elements:

1. Zero pitch fee increase for 2021

Pitch fee will be frozen in 2021.

2. Year extension of tenure*

2020 has in many respects been a lost year, so we will be offering you an additional 12 months ownership by inviting you to extend your tenure end date.

3. 50% credit of pitch fees for period of closure

All owners who have paid 2020 pitch fee in full or via our direct debit scheme will be entitled to a credit towards their 2021 pitch fee equal to 50% of their 2020 pitch fee for the time we have been closed from 23rd March 2020, up to and including the 3rd July 2020 for holiday parks in England and Scotland, and 12th July 2020 for holiday parks in Wales. This credit relates solely to the pitch fee only and will be taken off your 2021 pitch fee. It does not relate to any other charges such as utilities.

4. Increased discount for on-park spend to 30% for 2020 and 2021

As previously communicated, when parks open you will also be able to enjoy an increased discount of 30% on all food, drink and payable activities until the end of 2021 with your owner’s card. This offer will be immediate as you arrive back on park.

5. Three month payment holiday

As previously communicated, owners who are experiencing difficulties can apply for a three month payment holiday. We’re pleased that to-date we have supported nearly 400 owners with this scheme.

FAQS

Our parks open for Owners from midday on 4th July in England and Scotland and 11th July in Wales.

Owners will be able to access their park from midday on the day of their park's reopening.

Any owners operating sub-let or private lettings will be allowed access to prepare accommodation for letting, however this will not include overnight stays for holidaymakers. Only owners will be permitted to stay in their holiday home on this date.

Although we are keen to progress these plans, we are relying on confirmation from the government. Despite positivity around these dates, until it is formally signed off, nothing is set in stone.

The health and safety of our people, holiday home owners and holidaymakers is our top priority and throughout lockdown we have been working closely with sector trade bodies, other holiday park operators, senior health and safety executives and government advisers to develop operational protocols which will be used across our sector. These operational protocols have guided the necessary changes you will notice when you arrive, which include:

Social distancing measures in all venues, such as a clearly visible one-way system around park.

Enhanced cleaning procedures for restaurants and shared spaces.

Additional pop-up handwashing/sanitisation facilities.

Park shops encouraging contactless transactions, queue management systems and sanitation of baskets and trolleys.

Venues operating on reduced capacities in all areas to ensure correct social distancing, with all food being served directly to tables. Takeaways will be delivered to a collection point so that they can be enjoyed in your caravan or lodge.

A range of leisure and entertainment facilities running at a reduced capacity.

Asking you to only enter a caravan or lodge if you are staying there, although we hope you will enjoy meeting your friends and family on verandas and grass areas in the fresh air.

All owners who have paid their 2020 pitch fee in full or via our Direct Debit scheme (including those utilising our Direct Debit support scheme) will be entitled to a credit of part of their pitch fee for the time we have been closed, from 23rd March 2020 up to and including 3rd July 2020 for holiday parks in England and Scotland, and 12th July 2020 for holiday parks in Wales. No payment for any period after 3rd July for holiday parks in England and Scotland, and 12th July 2020 for holiday parks in Wales, will be available should reopening be delayed.

For each full week we are closed, you will receive a credit equal to half of your usual full week’s pitch fee you have paid. This credit relates solely to the pitch fee only and not to any other charges such as utilities or fixed costs we pay to third parties.

There is no need for you to take any action. The credit will automatically be taken off your 2021 pitch fee. The pitch fee notification letter which will be sent to you later in the year will clearly show this as COVID-19 discount and the amount will be deducted from your 2021 pitch fee charge.
