Renowned for being one of the best surf spots in the UK, you'll never be far away from a great surfing beach in Devon when you stay at any of our 4 holiday parks. However, Ruda is situated just minutes away from Croyde Bay, the region's most well known beach for surfing. Alternatively, Challaborough Bay is also a popular surfing spot and is within driving distance of Bantham Beach which is another fantastic beach for surfers.

On the other end of the scale, we have brand new hot tub lodges available at Ruda if you're willing to pay a bit more.
We have several touring and camping options available at Ruda Holiday Park to cater to every budget, with pitches often start from just £12 per night. The great thing about our touring and camping holidays is that our on park facilities and entertainment passes are all included in the pitch price.
Our Standard Pitches, whilst basic, offer great value for money whilst our Serviced and Serviced Plus Pitches include extra facilities such as electricity and water points to make your stay more comfortable. There are even glamping tents available at Ruda when you fancy camping in comfort.
For the best sea views in Devon, we would recommend Bideford Bay Holiday Park which offers spectacular views across the North Devon coast and Croyde Bay. Challaborough Bay also provides stunning views across the historic Burgh Island.
Please be aware, not all of our accommodation on park will benefit from a sea view. Please give us a call to discuss this further if this is a must for your holiday in Devon.

Get planning some days out in the region and find out more about the best places to visit via our Devon holidays page.
All 4 of our holiday parks in Devon feature an indoor swimming pool and Bideford Bay benefits from an additional outdoor pool. Bideford Bay and Ruda also have waterslides making them great swimming pools for kids.

If you want the convenience of having the seaside on your doorstep, Challaborough Bay and Ruda are only a few minutes' walking distance to the coast, whilst Bideford Bay and Torquay are approximately a 15 minute drive from the nearest beach. Ruda Holiday Park also enjoys prime position on Croyde Bay Beach, one of the UK's best surfing beaches.

- Woodlands Family Theme Park
- Dartmoor Zoo

Visit our Devon local attractions page to find out more about the attractions in the region.
All 4 of our holiday parks in Devon feature free WiFi within selected facilities. If you would like the convenience of being able to access WiFi park-wide and within your accommodation, you can pay an additional charge for this service at Ruda, Challaborough Bay and Torquay.
It is worth noting that we cannot guarantee good phone signal at all of our holiday parks, often due to their rural location and varying signal strength depending on your network provider. We would recommend speaking to your provider prior to your visit should you have any concerns.
All 4 of our Devon holiday parks offer a selection of wheelchair accessible accommodation to ensure you have a comfortable and easy stay, as well as plenty of accessible on park facilities. Head to our accessible holidays page to find out more or simply select the 'Wheelchair Friendly' option when using the filters on the accommodation pages.
When it comes to deciding which holiday park is best for your needs, you may want to consider terrain if you or any member of your group finds it difficult to walk on sloped or uneven surfaces. We recommend Ruda for those with a physical disability, whilst as the caravans are on a gentle slope, the terrain is still suitable for those who have walking difficulties. Torquay and Challaborough Bay both have some fairly hilly areas but some are still accessible for people with mobility issues. Bideford Bay is based on a steep hillside and therefore we would not recommend this park to guests who may struggle to get around. If you would like further information, give our friendly holiday advisors a call on 0330 123 4850 who will be more than happy to discuss your requirements and give you further advice on where to stay on park.
Devon has something to offer all year round and you'll be able to find plenty of things to do during your holiday no matter when you choose to visit. July and August are generally the warmest months with temperatures averaging at a high of 20 degrees. If you want to make the most of the region's glorious beaches, outdoor activities such as surfing and other watersports may be better suited to warmer weather conditions. It is also worth bearing in mind that certain local attractions such as theme parks and zoos may have restricted opening times during the winter.
However, there are sufficient days out in the region you can take advantage of every season from exploring local towns to spending the day visiting a museum or country house. For more information on things to do in Devon, simply head to our local attractions page.
