Splashdown at Parkdean Resorts

A great swimming pool can make a family holiday, that’s why we’ve put them in over 60 of our holiday parks! Whether you’re on holiday with your other half and looking for somewhere to relax and unwind, or taking a family break and want to keep the kids active and entertained – our holiday parks with swimming pools are ideal.

Our heated indoor swimming pools offer year-round family fun, whatever the weather. You’ll even find spa baths and saunas at selected parks, perfect for easing tired muscles after a family day out. During the warmer months, many of our parks also offer heated outdoor swimming pools, so you can take advantage of those warm and sunny summer days.

With waterslides, children’s pools and wet adventure play areas, our pools are guaranteed to keep little ones smiling. We also offer a whole host of pool activities, from Swim Tots swimming sessions to giant inflatable obstacle courses, there’s something for all ages – simply check the pool timetable when you arrive on park to see what’s happening during your stay.

Swimming Pool Activities

Find out more about our kids' activities and swimming sessions below. From taking their first dip to underwater adventures, you'll find activities for all ages and abilities.

We also offer adults only swim sessions for ages 16+ if you'd prefer a bit of peace and quiet, away from the kids!

You can now pre-book your activities online! To secure your first choice of activities, simply log into 'Manage My Booking' up to 6 weeks prior to travel, or book once you arrive on park. Don't forget, you can also turn up to swim without pre-booking, but this is limited and based on a first-come, first-served basis.

Swimming Pool Safety

A lifeguard overseeing people in an outdoor swimming pool

Before you dive in, make sure you read the safety rules displayed around the pool. All of our pools are supervised by qualified lifeguards who are there for your safety, so make sure you follow their instructions.

Before entering the pool, remove all jewellery and use the shower. A responsible person aged 16 or over must accompany any children under 8 in the water. One responsible person must not accompany more than two children under 8. Photography and video cameras aren’t allowed around the pool area, so lock them up to keep them dry and safe.

If you’re visiting Ruda, Trecco Bay or Warmwell Holiday Park, a maximum of one child under 4 can be supervised by a responsible person, or two children aged 4-7. Any more, and you’ll need an additional chaperone 16 or over to keep an eye on the children.

Benefits of Swimming

As well as swimming being great family fun, it comes with a whole host of health benefits too. With weight off your joints, it’s the perfect way to get some low-impact exercise – whether you’re doing lengths, treading water or attempting some aqua aerobics. Swimming is fantastic cardiovascular exercise and a great all-over body workout, so why not challenge yourself to a few lengths during your stay?

It’s also a known stress-buster too, making it the ideal way to ease yourself into the holiday spirit when you arrive on park. It’s also a great way for kids to burn off extra energy while gaining confidence in the water and even making some new friends on holiday. Our kids’ pool activities are designed to offer a range of fun sessions to cater to different ages and abilities, with something for everyone to enjoy.
