Our touring pitch types explained

Make sure to check out our different pitch types and whether they’re available at your chosen park. Not every pitch is available at every park, but don’t worry, every location has shower and toilet blocks, dishwashing facilities, and a launderette!

Electric pitches

Feature an electric hook-up and a hard standing/grass base. Electricity is included in the price, so it’s a great option for an enjoyable and comfortable stay.

Premier pitches

Exclusive to Vauxhall! Feature an electricity hook-up, water point, drainage, and a TV aerial connection. All on a hard-standing base. Located on a picturesque area of the park!

Serviced pitches

With access to both electricity and running water, these pitches are super convenient for caravans with showers, toilets, and sinks. Ideal if you own a motorhome.

Star & Super pitches

Exclusive to tourers! Feature an electricity hook-up, water point, and drainage. With all amenities included in your pitch, they’re ideal for families and larger groups.

Storing your touring caravan during winter

After making the most of your seasonal pitch, it’s time to look for touring caravan storage options for the winter season. We’ve teamed up with the experts at The Caravan Storage Site Owners’ Association (CaSSOA) to highlight the best caravan storage options on offer. For our Dorset customers, we also offer a storage service on park at Sandford.

When planning to store your caravan, you’ll need to consider cost, access, insurance, location and security, as well as any additional facilities you may require.

Unsecured Storage

This option would include farmyards or other locations not specifically intended for storage purposes. Whilst usually a cheaper option, they will often only provide informal agreements, may lack security, and not offer regular access arrangements or additional services.

Secure Storage

This type of caravan storage is available throughout the country but has not been approved or accredited. Whilst your caravan may be safer than it would be in a farmer’s field, there are no guarantees that the security on offer has been checked and is regularly maintained.

CaSSOA Accredited Storage

Choose from over 450 approved sites across the UK, all surveyed to ensure they meet security standards. CaSSOA sites often provide additional facilities like valeting and servicing. You may also be able to save on your caravan insurance premium if you store on a CaSSOA approved storage site.

You can book a seasonal caravan pitch for tourers, campervans, and motorhomes.

 

Can I leave my caravan on-park all season?

Yes! We offer full season bookings, so you can stay all the way from the park opening date to the closing date.

We also offer winter storage at Sandford if you want to keep your tourer on-site out of season.

Can I bring my dog?
