When is May half term 2025?
May half term coincides with the spring bank holiday weekend, making it a great time of year for a short break or longer May half term holiday. Mark these dates in your diary to start planning your next getaway.
England & Wales May half term dates
- Schools across England and Wales will break up on Friday 23rd May - then return 1 week later, on Monday 2nd June.
Scotland May half term dates
- Scotland does not have a May half term, due to their schools breaking up earlier for summer, however, Scottish schools will be closed for an additional INSET day on Tuesday 28th May, making for an extra-long 4-day bank holiday weekend.
When is the spring bank holiday?
- Across England, Scotland and Wales, the spring bank holiday (also known as the ‘late May bank holiday’) falls on Monday 26th May - it’s the perfect weekend for a short break.
When is May half term 2025?
- In 2025 the May bank holidays fall on Monday 5th May and Monday 26th May

*Save up to £200 on 3, 4 and 7 night holidays arriving from Friday 5th July 2024 – Saturday 31st August 2024. Maximum discount of £200 on 7 night holidays and £150 on short breaks. Minimum price of £249 on 7-night holidays and £149 on short breaks applies after discount. Discount varies by park, date and accommodation. Excludes hotel, touring and camping holidays. Offer ends Sunday 28th July 2024. Parkdean Resorts reserve the right to withdraw this offer at any time.
*£25 low deposit available for online bookings made using the Direct Debit Payment facility. Only available on holiday priced at £200 or more. Holidays must be booked a minimum of 16 weeks prior to travel to qualify for the Direct Debit payment options. Final payment must be taken 4 weeks + 1 day prior to travel.
