Terms and Conditions
Definitions:
Bonda Fide Guest: means a named guest staying on a valid booking for a minimum of three consecutive nights or a Parkdean Resorts Owner.
Grand Final: means the final stage of the competition.
Park Quarter Final: means the individual holiday park quarter final usually held in September.
Seasonal Heat: means the weekly heat performance for Talent Nation.
Semi Final: means the semi-final stage of the competition, held on the same weekend as the Grand Final.
1. Parkdean Resorts: Parkdean Resorts is Parkdean Resorts UK Limited, company number 05729719,
registered office 2nd Floor, One Gosforth Park Way, Gosforth Business Park, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE12 8ET
(“Parkdean Resorts).
2. The Competition: The title of the competition is Talent Nation. Talent Nation is a talent competition held across selected Parkdean Resorts’ holiday parks in the UK. It offers Bona Fide Guests the opportunity to showcase their singing, dancing, comedy or other talents, with the possibility of winning prizes. Entrants must first enter a park heat. If they win the park heat, they may be invited to attend the park end of season quarter final. If they win the park end of season quarter final, they will be invited to attend the Grand Final weekend. The competition is free to enter but if a participant does not progress and wishes to re-enter at a permitted later stage, this may require attendance at park (and a holiday booking).
3. How to enter: The competition will run across the main holiday season from April to August. Dates and times are park specific and will be published by the relevant park. Please refer to our website here for information. To enter, you must attend the registration and rehearsal events at participating parks where you will be asked to scan a QR and input your details.
3.1 Entrants can only enter the competition held on the park on which they have booked their holiday and are staying at. The holiday must be at a time when the competition is taking place.
3.2 Whilst the duration of each performance will not ordinarily exceed five (5) minutes Parkdean Resorts may adjust the duration depending on operational requirements and will inform acts accordingly. 3.3 Each act will be responsible for their own props and instruments and must rehearse with these at the scheduled rehearsal time. For safety, operational, or suitability reasons, Parkdean Resorts (acting through the General Manager, Entertainment Manager, or their nominee) reserves the right to refuse, restrict, or prohibit the use of any prop, instrument, equipment, or material at its sole discretion. Participants must comply with any such directions.
3.4 Each act is responsible for their own music and the park entertainment team is not responsible for any technical issues.
3.5 All music must be provided on a USB device. Parkdean Resorts will not play music from any personal devices.
3.6 Vocal acts are permitted to use backing tracks without original lead vocals and entrants must not sing over a fully sung version.
3.7 Where a contestant is using their own music, this must be vetted in advance by the park entertainment manager and must not contain any inappropriate or unsuitable language. The entertainment manager or their nominee has the sole discretion to refuse the use of the track and advise that an alternative track must be used.
3.8 The talent act chosen to compete in the end of season park quarter finals and the Grand Final must remain the same as the original performance. Song or entertainment choices are permitted to change.
3.9 The highest scorer from each weekly park heat will be invited to take part in the end of season park quarter finals.
3.10 At the end of season park quarter finals, one winner will be invited to attend Parkdean Resorts Talent Nation Grand Final weekend. If they are unable to attend, the place will be offered to that park’s runner up.
3.11 A panel of judges appointed by Parkdean Resorts will be used to judge each competition. The judges will mark performances based on the following categories: Presentation, Talent and Ability, Originality and Content. 3.12 Progression beyond the end of season park quarter finals may require a paid accommodation booking if an eliminated participant wishes to continue to compete in the competition.
3.13 Entrants who reach the end of season park quarter final may be offered the opportunity to re-enter the competition at the Semi-Final stage. To take up this opportunity, entrants must make a new accommodation booking for the Grand Final weekend. A promotional talent discount code may be provided to assist with the cost of this booking. Use of the discount code is optional, but a valid accommodation booking is required in order to participate in the Semi-Final.
4. Eligibility
The competition is only open to residents in the UK meeting the following rules:
4.1 All entrants must be a Bona Fide Guest at a participating Parkdean Resorts holiday park. Family and friends who are visiting a member of Parkdean Resorts’ staff are not eligible to enter or win a competition.
4.2 Parkdean Resorts’ Owners are permitted to enter the competition, however, should they win the park seasonal heat, the offer of a holiday prize (as outlined in clause 5), will be at the sole discretion of the General Manager. If they do not win the park seasonal heat but wish to attend the end of season park quarter finals, the Owner will need to book accommodation before re-entering the competition. Where an owner wins a place at the Semi-Final, they must book accommodation at the holiday park where the Grand Final Weekender is taking place.
4.3 Entrants must have a valid hub (entertainment) pass.
4.4 The following are not eligible to enter the competition:
(a) employees of Parkdean Resorts or its holding or subsidiary companies
(b) employees of agents or suppliers of Parkdean Resorts or its holding or subsidiary companies, who are professionally connected with the competition or it’s administration; or
(c) family and friends visiting a member of Parkdean Resorts staff.
4.5 Entrants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. The accompanying adult must provide their contact details when entering the competition.
4.6 In entering the competition, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim any prize you may win. Parkdean Resorts may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the competition.
4.7 Entrants must be willing to attend registration and rehearsals prior to the competition taking place.
4.8 Entrants who win a park weekly heat will not be permitted to enter a further weekly heat of the same competition that season on any other Parkdean Resorts’ park.
5. The holiday prize
5.1 The prize for winning the seasonal heats is one (1) holiday at the end of season park quarter finals for a maximum of four people and up to the value of £500.00 and is subject to the following rules:

(b) Parkdean Resorts will make reasonable efforts to contact the winner of the relevant seasonal heats. They will be contacted by Parkdean Resorts via the telephone number or email address provided in the Winner Notification Email to book the holiday prize. If the seasonal heat winner cannot be contacted or is not available, Parkdean Resorts reserves the right to offer the holiday prize to the next eligible runner up. Parkdean Resorts does not accept any responsibility if a winner is not able to take up the holiday prize.
(c) If the published booking price of the holiday exceeds £500, the winner will be liable to pay the cost of the difference. (d) If the cost of the holiday prize is less than £500, any remaining value will be lost and cannot be used or transferred to another booking.
(e) The holiday prize is non-exchangeable and no cash or voucher alternative will be offered. Parkdean Resorts reserves the right to substitute the holiday prize with a prize of equal or greater value.
(f) The holiday prize does not include insurance, travel expenses, subsistence, spending money or any other personal expenses. Any other costs incurred in addition to those set out above and that are incidental to the fulfilment of the holiday prize are the responsibility of the winner.
(g) The holiday prize can only be taken up by the winner and is not transferrable to a third party.
(h) The holiday prize can only be taken at the holiday park where the end of season park quarter finals are taking place.
(i) Where more than one adult or child from the same family enters a seasonal heat and only one family member is selected as a winner, only the winning individual is eligible to participate in the end of season park quarter finals.
(j) Winners of seasonal heats will receive free accommodation (up to the value of £500) to return to the park for the end of season park quarter finals, which will take place in September. Any remaining family members who are not accommodated within the free accommodation provision, are not eligible to take part in the end of season park quarter finals unless a stay is booked using the promotional discount code provided.
6. Prize for winning the end of season park final
6.1 One winner from each park end of season quarter final will be invited to attend Parkdean Resorts Grand Final weekend. If the winner cannot be contacted or is not available to attend the Grand Final weekend, Parkdean Resorts reserves the right to offer the Grand Final place to the next eligible runner up. Parkdean Resorts does not accept any responsibility if a winner is unable to attend the Grand Final weekend.
6.2 The winner of the park end of season quarter final will be offered a further free holiday to attend the Grand Final weekend which is subject to the conditions set out in clause 5 above.
6.3 Subject to availability, the remaining nine quarter finalists from each park quarter final (who did not win their quarter final) will be offered the opportunity to rebook a discounted holiday in order to re-enter the competition and participate in the Semi-Final at the Grand Final weekend. If this is the case, the following rules apply:
(a) The talent discount code provided must be used at the time of booking the accommodation to secure a place at the Semi-Final. The talent discount code cannot be used retrospectively. If the discount code is not provided when making the booking, there will be no competition re-entry permitted.
(b) The talent discount code can only be used on accommodation only and is not applicable to additional extras which shall be charged at the prevailing rate.
(c) The talent discount code provided cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.
(d) The competition re-entry promotion may be withdrawn at any time. This will not affect any bookings already made using the talent discount code.
6.4 This requirement to re-book only applies to participants who choose to continue competing after the end of season park quarter finals and does not affect any prize already awarded. Participation in the competition is free and no participant is required to make any additional purchase unless they wish to attend and re-enter at the next stage of the competition.
7. Grand Final Prizes
7.1 There are three prizes for first, second and third place winners of the Grand Final. Please refer to

7.2 Parkdean Resorts accepts no liability in the event that the winner is unavailable or unable to take up the prize.
8. General
8.1 Parkdean Resorts (at its sole discretion) reserves all rights to disqualify an entrant if their conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the competition or in breach of these terms and conditions.
8.2 If entrants and their guests do not comply Parkdean Resorts booking terms and conditions, they may be asked to leave the park (alongside disqualification from the competition) and no refund or other compensation will be offered.
8.3 Winners of the end of season park quarter finals are not permitted to compete in a different park’s quarter final of the same competition during the same season.
8.4 Outright winners of the Grand Final are not permitted to compete in the competition in the following year.
8.5 The decision of Parkdean Resorts or the judges nominated by Parkdean Resorts is final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.
8.6 By submitting a competition entry, entrants are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions.
8.7 Parkdean Resorts must either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation Parkdean Resorts may publish the surname and county of major prize winners on its website. If you object to any or all of your surname, county and winning entry being published or made available, please contact [email protected]. In such circumstances, Parkdean Resorts must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.
8.8 Parkdean Resorts reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the prize competition where it becomes necessary to do so.
8.9 These terms and conditions are governed by English law.
9. Limitation of liability
9.1 Parkdean Resorts and any sponsor’s liability to the Talent Nation Grand Final Winner(s) shall be limited to the value of the published Grand Final prizes, if any. Insofar as is permitted by law, Parkdean Resorts, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of Parkdean Resorts, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.
9.2 All participants use any props, instruments, costumes, or equipment at their own risk. Parkdean Resorts accepts no responsibility for any loss, damage, breakage, or injury arising from the use of such items.
9.3 Where an entrant is under 18, they must be accompanied and supervised at all times by a responsible adult. Parkdean Resorts accepts no responsibility for the supervision of minors at any stage of the competition.
9.4 Unless expressly stated otherwise in these terms or in the winner notification, all travel, subsistence, and incidental expenses incurred in attending rehearsals, heats, quarter finals, Semi Final or the Grand Final are the sole responsibility of the participant. Parkdean Resorts will not reimburse any such costs.
10. Publicity, data protection and intellectual property
10.1 You agree that Parkdean Resorts may, in their sole discretion, make your entry available on its website and in any other media, whether now known or invented in the future, and in connection with any publicity of the competition. You grant Parkdean Resorts a non-exclusive, worldwide, irrevocable licence in perpetuity, for the full period of the intellectual property rights in the competition entry and any accompanying materials, to use, display, publish, transmit, copy, edit, alter, store, re-format and sub-licence the intellectual property rights in the competition entry and any accompanying materials for such purposes.
10.2 Parkdean Resorts may ask winners whether they agree to their photograph being taken and if so, any sponsor and Parkdean Resorts may use the photograph for publicity purposes.
10.3 Parkdean Resorts will only process your personal information as set out in https://www.parkdeanresorts.co.uk/privacy-policy/. See also condition 8.3 with regard to the announcement of winners.
