We are huge fans of this place which is why we have 4 holiday parks near Newquay. There’s so many restaurants in Newquay for you to choose from, depending on what you’re looking for. There’s everything from Italian to Mexican food and even romantic restaurants with a sea view. If you’re visiting with the family, Newquay is an ideal place for family friendly restaurants which have kid’s menus. We’ve put together all of our favourites for the different types of restaurant in Newquay.

If you’re holidaying in Newquay, family restaurants with a children’s menu certainly aren’t hard to come by. A great restaurant that welcomes families is The Beach Hut. They offer a great children’s menu as well as child seats, crayons and colouring books. The laid back vibe and friendly staff offer an ideal environment for families with young children. They offer a wide range of foods from seafood to Mexican food and the meals can be ordered in big or small sizes, which is great when dining with kids. There’s a kids menu too, offering dishes such as macaroni cheese, fish and chips and chicken katsu curry. An added bonus to this restaurant is that it’s located right on iconic Watergate Bay beach, with spectacular views of the sea.

If you’re in the mood for pizza, we have just the place for you. The Stable at Fistral Beach is a casual restaurant with a pizza based menu and panoramic sea views – what more could you want? Not only this, but this place is dog friendly too which means if you’ve brought your four legged friend on holiday with you, they’ll be able to dine with you. From the front of the building, this restaurant looks like an American diner, with the back overlooking the north side of the beach.You can dine outdoors on the terrace, or you can enjoy the long wooden tables and ample seating space inside. When it comes to pizzas, The Stable are experts, offering sourdough pizzas freshly made with a variety of topping options. Fistral beach is a popular choice among families with children as well as surfing enthusiasts, so if you’re visiting for the day and have pizza on your mind, this is definitely the restaurant for you.

If Mexican is your favourite, then head to Señor Dicks where you’ll find good vibes, a Mexican theme and in our opinion, the best Mexican food in Newquay. This restaurant welcomes children, offering colouring books and a well-equipped children’s menu, offering free ice cream with any kid’s meal. The menu has all of the traditional Mexican favourites including nachos, tacos, burritos and lots more. The location of this restaurant is ideal - being right in the middle of Newquay centre makes it easily accessible by public transport or on foot. If you’re driving, please be aware that parking in the town centre can be difficult.

 

Concho Lounge

Concho Lounge is a town centre restaurant which has lots of delicious vegan dishes on offer. The restaurant offers a relaxed atmosphere and informal vibe. They’re most popular for their tapas and of course their wide range of vegan options. The menu includes non-vegan options too, as well as plenty of gluten free options, and families with children are welcomed. Some of the vegan tapas dishes include vegan falafel, roasted sweet potato taco and vegan patatas bravas. Other vegan dishes include Bombay sweet potato and lentil curry, a vegan hotdog and a vegan cheeseburger. They have a lovely outdoor terrace area too for when the weather’s nice, along with ample indoor seating if you’d prefer.

Our favourite restaurant in Newquay with outdoor seating is definitely WAX at Watergate Bay. It’s got great views, an outdoor seating terrace and is set right by the waterside. This rustic bar and restaurant in Newquay has a large decked area outside, where you can dine al fresco when the weather is nice. For the colder months to ensure you don’t miss out on the beautiful views there are large windows overlooking the sea where you can enjoy the scenery from indoors.The food offered at WAX is varied but all incredibly delicious, from pizzas and burgers to fish and chips. Some of our favourite starters on offer include chilli garlic prawns and halloumi bruschetta. This restaurant is family friendly and welcomes children, with a separate kid’s menu.

 

The Red Lion

Being a seaside town, Newquay has several restaurants and bars with a beautiful sea view, but our favourite has to be the Red Lion. The view of the harbour is just beautiful and the food is delicious. If you’re interested in some relaxed, pub food, this is your place. They have a seating area outside which overlooks the harbour and this charming pub also offers an affordable and good quality afternoon tea if you visit during the day. The Red Lion’s food menu is vast, covering a variety of different tastes including steaks, burgers and pub classics such as fish and chips and pie of the day. If you’re visiting on a Sunday you can enjoy a lovely Sunday roast too. The menu offers plenty of vegan and vegetarian options as well as gluten free. If you’re bringing the kids, there’s a kids menu too, which includes a dessert when a main is bought.

The best dog friendly restaurant in Newquay is Lewinnick Lodge which is just a short drive from Newquay town centre. Perched right on a Cliffside, this restaurant also offers outstanding sea views and remarkable food. On the menu, there’s plenty of local produce and variety. The inside of the restaurant has a stylish cosy feel with large windows, perfect if you love a sea view. Outside, there is a lovely terrace area where you can dine or have a drink – this also makes a great spot to watch the sunset. Dogs are allowed to sit with you in the bar area or on the terrace. This restaurant would be a great option if you’re staying in our dog friendly accommodation at Newquay Holiday Park.

If you’re in the mood for a fish and chips takeout, then try Rick Stein on Fistral Beach. This restaurant usually has a dine-in option, but at the moment, it’s running as a takeaway only. They do an impressive fish and chips, offering a choice of battered or grilled cod, haddock, hake, sea bass or cod bites. They also have an Asian Kitchen side to the menu which offers Pad Thai and tasty Asian curries. This restaurant has a children’s menu which includes sausage and chips or cod bites and chips. The views outside of Rick Stein are beautiful, making it a great dine-in experience or if you’re having a day at the beach an equally enjoyable outdoor eating experience.

The Pizza Box is an independent pizza takeaway shop and more importantly our favourite pizza takeaway shop in Newquay. They make gourmet stone baked pizzas from Thursday to Saturday using their own original recipe for their bases and homemade toppings. They offer a range of pizza toppings and all of the pizza classics. This takeaway has been rated an extra impressive 5 stars on Trip Advisor.
