2018 Round the Island Race

Experience the UK’s fourth largest sports participation event from the stunning shores of the Isle of Wight. Attracting thousands of racers and even more spectators to the Isle’s shore every year, the Round the Island Race is a one-day yacht race around the Isle of Wight. As one of the world’s largest yacht races, this event has to be seen to be fully appreciated.

The Round the Island Race will pass Thorness Bay first thing on 7th July, with great vantage points just a short drive away from the park. We’d highly recommend the 20-minute drive to Fort Victoria to watch the race from Sconce Point, or head to the start and finish points at Cowes in less than 15-minutes.
