No matter what time of year you choose to visit, you're always guaranteed to have a fantastic holiday in the Lake District. From climbing mountains and swimming in lakes to exploring local towns and visiting museums, there's a day out to suit all weathers. The warmest month on average is July with temperatures generally reaching highs of 20 degrees.
Due to the popularity of the area, the Lakes can get very busy during peak period and if you would rather escape the crowds, we would recommend visiting outside of school holidays when many attractions will be quieter.
