Whitley Bay is famous for being one of the North East's historic seaside resorts. The wide sandy bay is home to a brilliant beach, backed by a large grassy park called 'The Links'. At each end of the bay, you'll find Whitley Bay's two most iconic landmarks, St Mary's Lighthouse to the north, and the Spanish City dome to the south.
