I (single woman, 70) was extremely disappointed to be placed in the furthest caravan from the beach at the back of the park up a steep hill with an almost impossible turning into the parking space. I felt threatened and claustrophobic. I was nowhere near my friends. I was a long way from the entertainment complex. I have learned to ring up and pay a fee to secure the correct caravan. I have been coming to Challaborough over 20 years and this year could well have been the last.

Roads to Challaborogh are very narrow. The beach is not dog friendly and should be stated on your website or at least state its seasonal. I picked Challaborough on the basis it was dog friendly and on the beach. Its only when you click on challaborough bay further information that it mentions the beach us restricted. It would be useful if you could advise bigbury on sea is dog friendly and a short 15 min walk along the coastal path. There is also a mEADOW to walk dogs that I found by accident. There were a lot of dogs so this information at check in would be helpful.

I was lucky enough to be allocated a caravan a stone’s throw from the beach. The road in is narrow but take it steady and there are ample passing places. I would also recommend investing in a decent road atlas and not using a sat nav as it will tend to take you along the back routes which are not always the best way to go!! Stunning location, not far from the South West coast path.
