We're in a quiet location on the island, but it's easy to get wherever you need to by car! Cowes and Newport are only a short drive away, plus iconic landmarks like The Needles. For dog walks you don't have to go far – Thorness Bay beach can be reached by foot. Bringing the little ones? Visit the petting zoo at Tapnell Farm and the exotic animals at Wildheart Animal Sanctuary.

Thorness Bay is a real hidden gem, 187 acres of woodland and coastline, tucked away and genuinely quiet. It's the perfect place to slow down, whether that's a scenic walk, a dip in the bay, or just enjoying the space.

Useful information
- Thorness Bay is undergoing a multi-million-pound transformation, complete in 2027.
- Wi-Fi has recently been expanded to the whole park! If you're still experiencing connection issues, you can also upgrade for a charge.
- Thorness Bay is in a quiet location, and we highly recommend bringing a car to travel to and from the park.
- Whilst there is a bus route to and from Cowes, this only runs on Tuesdays and Thursdays and is a 1.7-mile walk from the park along a dangerous road with no pavement.
- We're a dog-friendly park! Dogs are welcome in facilities and venues as well as some selected accommodation.
- Are you a cycling enthusiast? In May and September there are around-the-island cycling events, and our location makes us a convenient hub for cyclists.
- There is a laundrette and a convenience store on-site. The shop doesn't sell everything, so make sure you pack your essentials!
