Overall we enjoyed our stay at Thorness Bay we are looking to come back again in August/September. The park is very well situated we could get to anywhere we wanted on the island within an hr with or without going through Newport the Bay itself was nice, beautiful and hot! The staff at the park were very helpful and welcoming. We arrived just after 8pm on the Monday evening and were on our way to Newport (shopping as self-catered) no later than 9pm having been checked in and directed to our Chalet and unpacked the car etc. Checking out we wanted to edit our ferry crossing this was arranged for us hassle free. All in all this was a really good break away for us although we had read negative comments, we were optimistic and were not disappointed 7.5/10 from me.

I haven’t rated the facilities as we only visited the bar for lunch on the first day so don’t know about the entertainment etc. The setting is beautiful though and we enjoyed walking the beach area and the little woodland bit. The woodland could be better looked after and a better defined path might be nice but it was still beautiful!
