Too many caravans and lodges squashed onto site. Barely any grass only gravel outside of accommodation. Couldn't get booked into swimming pool as already booked up days in advance. Reception staff also manning shop. Couldn't walk along lakeside. Only one walk within caravan park. Noisy site as all accommodation too close together. No help from staff regarding things to do in the area. Shop is like a cupboard. Hardly stocks anything at all.

We found a real gem when we found this site. The location is lovely. The new caravan we stayed in was great apart from it lacking a few personal touches such as lamps in the main living area and in the bedrooms. It was lovely and clean. The only negative I have is the constant banging of children playing in the road outside the caravan and the ball hitting the caravan numerous times but that's not really the responsibility of the site its their parents. There's a lovely area set out for children to do all that. I would also maybe rethink the food menu in the boathouse as it was great before it was changed. We ate there one night and the portions were very small.
