2018 Great North Run

Taking place on Sunday 9th of September 2018, the Simplyhealth Great North Run will see thousands of runners and spectators descend on the North East for one of the world’s most famous half marathons.

Whether you’re taking part or coming along to cheer on a loved one, Whitley Bay Holiday Park is the perfect place to stay. Less than 30 minutes away from the starting line in Newcastle City Centre, and with great access to public transport, it’s ideally located for the race. Getting back from the finish line couldn’t be easier either, with fantastic access via the Shields Ferry service and Tyne Tunnel.

Choose from a range of cosy and comfortable caravans and lodges, ranging from great value to luxury models – all just steps from the beach. And with great facilities to enjoy on park, too, including a restaurant, bar and indoor heated swimming pool, it’s a great place to rest your legs and fuel up before and after the big day.

Visit the Great North Run website for more information about travel and events on the day.
