Whitley Bay is a beautiful part of Britain, unspoiled & not overly commercialised like the East Coast. The lodge was perfect, like home from home & the site is clean. The site is small & the facilities are okay. The only criticism I have of these company holiday parks is that they can be noisy - there is always on-site entertainment in the evenings which runs post-midnight & people returning to their caravans in the early hours can be rowdy. Great if you want that kind of holiday, not places to go if you want a quiet retreat.
