How far is Cornwall from London?

Driving from central London to Cornwall's border covers about 220 miles via the A303 and A30. For a faster journey, we recommend taking the M4 and M5, which, despite adding 20 miles, typically reduces travel time to around 4 hours and 20 minutes, depending on traffic. If you're heading to Newquay, further west in Cornwall, the drive extends to about 280 miles, with a travel time of just over 5 hours.

For those seeking alternatives to driving, trains and flights are excellent options:

  • Trains: Great Western Railway offers regular direct services between London Paddington and Penzance. Along this route, you can access branch lines to destinations like Newquay, Looe, and Falmouth, leaving you just a short taxi or bus ride from many of our holiday parks in Cornwall.
  • Flights: The quickest way to reach Cornwall is by flying from London's Gatwick Airport directly to Newquay. Eastern Airways operates daily flights, and all our Newquay-based holiday parks are just a short bus or taxi ride from the airport.
