Pile of Easter eggs

With Easter just around the corner, it’s time to start planning how you’re going to celebrate. Whether it’s consuming as much chocolate as humanly possible or heading to your local farm park to see the baby animals, there are a plethora of Easter activities on offer. However, there’s one tradition that simply can’t be broken - and that’s the Easter egg hunt!

To celebrate the season of Eastertide, we’ve rounded up some of Britain’s best Easter egg hunts and trails. So whether you’re looking for some light family fun over the school holidays, or you’re taking on the challenge of finding the most eggs - at any cost - there’s something for everyone.

The Peter Rabbit Treasure Trail, Cumbria

Where better to look for the Easter Bunny’s eggs than the home of Peter Rabbit? On Wednesday 12th April, North England’s biggest Easter egg hunt will return to the Lake District for another year. With 100 ceramic Easter eggs hidden across the region, entrants must use their smartphone and car to navigate across Cumbria - finding as many eggs as possible. Find one egg and you’ll get free family entry into The World of Beatrix Potter attraction in Bowness-on-Windermere. Find multiple eggs and you could be in with a chance of winning some fantastic top prizes!

Fancy joining in the fun? Make sure you register online prior to the event. You’ll be sent a secret link to the interactive treasure trail map at 10AM on the morning of the event, so make sure your smartphone’s charged, you’ve got a 3G signal and petrol in the tank, raring to go!

Don’t worry, if you’re looking for something a little less challenging, The World of Beatrix Potter will also be hosting a mini easter egg hunt on Easter Sunday and Monday. Kids will love hunting for eggs amongst the greenery in the Peter Rabbit-themed garden, with fun stickers and sweet treats for all.

The World of Beatrix Potter is just a hop, skip and jump away from our holiday parks in the Lake District, so why not make the most of the school holidays and book an egg-citing Easter break?
