Tips for Dog-Friendly Pub Hopping in the North East
- If you’re planning to visit one of these pubs during the summer or school holidays, we’d recommend ringing ahead to book a table, especially if you’re travelling in a larger group
- While you’ll often find treats and water bowls available at most dog friendly pubs, it’s a good idea to pack a backpack with your own. Don’t forget to bring a clean towel too, so you can wipe off muddy paws if you’re planning to sit indoors
- Northumberland is famous for its pristine beaches, however, some sections of certain beaches may have restrictions for dogs during the warmer months of the year. If you’re planning a beach walk, it’s worth doing a little bit of research before you go
- While these pubs love their four-legged patrons, it’s important to remember that not all of their other guests share the same enthusiasm, so please ensure you keep your dog on a lead and under control, especially if you’re sitting indoors
