A pleasant stay at the camp site, although the first row of static caravans are particularly close to a busy road (and not quite so 'rural' feeling as the rest of the park). Pool and other facilities all good for families, although a shame about the outside pool not being open until the May Bank Holiday - fully understood relating to English weather conditions; etc, but if possible for a hot and late (busy) Easter, an option on pool opening may have been helpful.

Caravan was sufficient although initially not fully cleaned (although rectified after contacting Reception). Our accommodation was old and looking tired, but again sufficient.

Onsite restaurant had an excellent array of meals and generally was good. We ate in the restaurant on four evenings, but had problems on the last two nights. The first issue was a wait of over an hour for food (with two young children - 3 and 6 years old), and the second issue on the last night was three meals arriving and one (childrens meal) not being ready to be served. We were told this would come out shortly, but we ended up having to chase up, and it turned out it had to be cooked from scratch. Not ideal with young children and to not serve all the meals together. However, the restaurant manager was very apologetic and handled the problem as well as he could have done.

Not necessarily a perfect experience, but certainly enjoyable enough and the kids had a great time. Facilities more than good enough for a short and cheap family get away.

The accommodation we stayed in was very well presented and clean and had plenty of room for our family. Would of gone better if there was more to do during the day other than the arcades.

We had a great holiday. The weather was good and we had been looking forward to it for a year after our initial booking. The evening entertainment was good as usual and the kids enjoyed the soft play, play areas and arcade. We knew what to expect because we have been coming to Sandford every year for 21 years and own our own holiday home there. We rented Amberwood House because we needed space for a large family group.
