We've visited this site on a number of occasions, both camping and holiday caravans, and always have a good holiday here.

The thing that spoilt this holiday for us was the lack of information from the staff. We had paid in advance for breakfast each day yet got no information on what was included or even when breakfast was served. (Until we turned up to the cafe and it was shut!) There was no info in the caravan about simple things like where to put your rubbish or that swimming is apparently included in your entertainment passes. You seem to be left to discover these things yourself. When I mentioned to reception that other parkdean resorts provided comprehensive information on the caravan for guests the staff just seemed a bit confused as to why I couldn't mind read these facts. The service at the pub/restaurant was terrible. Staff were friendly but had absolutely no clue about their menu. We ordered the same thing every morning yet there was always something missing. We refused to eat there on an evening as we waited well over an hour for our mains.
That aside the caravan was lovely and well equipped and very clean. There's not much space between the caravans for the kids to play outside but there is a well equipped outdoor play area within the park. The local area has a beach and crabbing opportunities at the harbour but not much else so you have to drive a bit further out for days out with he kids.
Overall we had a decent holiday but only because of the days out we sought out by driving to places like Weymouth and Lyme Regis. I don't think we'll be returning.

We had an enjoyable mini break with 2 of our Grandsons.
They made friends with othe boys of a similar age group & spent as much time as they could playing football & in the play area. They also enjoyed a water polo match and kayak, snorkel class & water walking.
It would be good to see more organised events for the older children particularly if the weather is inclement.
It would also have been advantageous if the pool could have remained open between 1 & 2pm ..if the lifeguards could do a shift system for their lunch breaks....we found that dominated our daily plan.
Overall it was good & all the staff were attentive & helpful.

Location was stunning, the caravan was good outside seating would of been nice, the staff were fantastic, but was quite disappointed with the pool, only allowed in during certain times and only for 1 hour, which resulted with the pool being very busy and not being able to actually swim. Children's play area could also be improved. However we enjoyed our stay.
