The only thing going for Romney Sands is its proximity to the RH&DR. The park is tired and run down, and suffers in comparison to other sites (e.g. Warmwell in Dorset which we visited a month prior). The evening entertainment was terrible even by out-of-season British campsite standards.

We didn’t enjoy this site as much as camber sands. The site isn’t well signposted so took us a while to find the caravan as we couldn’t open the map on our phone (no signal).
The caravan had a number of issues, broken blind, shower attachment was leaking, shower tray filled up while having a shower, the kitchen was dirty upon arrival. Despite booking a larger caravan it just felt like the bedroom spaces were much smaller. The bathrooms were tiny. The main bedroom had white curtains the sun shone directly through, while the other bedrooms had dark curtains.

The entertainment facilities were definitely not as good as camber. The disco was far too loud, my kids hated it and they couldn’t understand a word the entertainers were saying through the extremely loud microphones.
They liked the arcade and park though.

Also be aware we couldn’t get any phone signal at all in the caravan, can join the wifi in the bar. It wasn’t the biggest of issues but we hadn’t downloaded everything we needed on devices to prior to our visit.
