The holiday park was very clean and tidy. Outdoir Facilities are minimal as the park isn't that big and it was October when we visited.

I booked this holiday for half term back in February following a stay the previous year and mainly because I have 3 young children who love the Romney Hythe and Dymchurch railway.
In September I called and asked to specifically have a 3 bedroom caravan as my youngest was now in a bed and I didn’t want the hassle of using the sofa bed each evening. I paid an upgraded cost and was assured that a 3 bedroom would be provided.

I was pleased with the no contact check in but on arrival to the caravan, we had been allocated a ‘Brighton’ and although very clean, only had 2 bedrooms. I immediately called reception and although the lady I spoke to tried to help, they had no available 3 bedrooms on site. I had a very upset eldest daughter who was looking forward to having her own bedroom for the 5 days, which made me upset too.
Although this sounds small in terms of Covid, it wasn’t a difficult request and really did leave a sour note on the holiday as we had to source a travel cot which then had to use single bedding for, for my 2 year old son who was too tall for this type of bed. We tried using the sofabed on one night but this meant my husband and I were restricted to the bedroom from 8pm as we didnt want to wake the kids.
The request for 3 bedrooms was a simple one but made such a difference to the whole experience of our holiday.
I’m not sure I will book again as there are plenty of other accommodations locally to that area which will suit our needs so we can still enjoy the steam train experience and not have the stress of having a caravan that is too small for our needs!!

Hi Gemma, thank you for your review.

We are sorry to hear that you were disappointed with certain aspects of this accommodation. As you can appreciate, much of what dictates future investments and changes does ultimately come from our customer's comments. Your feedback will be shared with the team.

IIts concerning to hear that after being assured of a 3-bedroom holiday home and paying an upgrade fee that this is not what you were given upon arrival. We do hope you were able to raise your concerns with the team on-park and this was rectified for you.

When re-booking with us again in the future, please do give us a call on 0330 123 4850 and one of our friendly advisors will be happy to talk you through further options.

Kind Regards,

^DJA
