I cannot fault the staff and the park itself as they and the park were great, but unfortunately the caravan was awful and we had to cut short our break,we arrived on the Monday and were staying until the Saturday but we left on the Thursday. When we first saw the caravan it looked a little shall we say well worn but thought it's ok we can work with this but inside the sofa was so little you were sat bolt upright it in and the beds even my little boys one had springs coming through the mattresses and were so uncomfortable. We had a caravan to the back of us that we're smoking the wacky baccy and the smell was coming into the van because it was so hot we had all the windows open.So all in all it wasn't very relaxing at all.sorry xx I just noticed that it stated we stayed in a Birchington caravan no we didn't we were given a tiny Sahara van if that's the cas I'm a little upset as it could have make such a difference to our stay and in making my little boy not upset about having to leave.

My brother and I had an enjoyable last-minute 4-night stay at Romney Sands, from Monday 17 July. I actually booked the caravan at about 11 am that morning, so definitely last-minute! As we both love the RHDR little railway (childhood memories), it was great to have a station on the doorstep. The nearby beach is sandy and flat (need to cross some pebbles to get to it), and it looks safe for kids. The biggest issue we had was, as the whole area is quite exposed, it can get very windy. However, we'd certainly return for another break.
