Two Coasts. One Epic Beach Adventure

Split across two dramatically diverse coastlines, Devon entices beachgoers from across the country with its seductive choice of sandy inlets, coves and bays.

The northern coast is wild, romantic and made for surfing. Immense, Atlantic-facing beaches like Woolacombe, Croyde Bay and Saunton Sands hoover up huge amounts of ocean swell, creating barrelling waves and fast beach breaks that will thrill surfers of all levels. But the velvety sands and mysterious rock pools here are equally great for gentle, family fun.

Devon’s southern shoreline is milder and more sheltered, although there are still some surf beaches to discover here, like gorgeous, dune-backed Bantham Beach.

Head to the golden sands of the English Riviera for all the traditional seaside favourites: fish and chips, seaside amusements and lots of bucket and spade action. Or, for unspoiled, natural beauty head to Blackpool Sands. Surrounded by pine trees and dazzling, azure seas, it's bucket list worthy.
