Overall, very pleased. The accommodation was clean and prepared in good time for our arrival at 1pm

The park was also very clean.

The staff were very friendly, helpful and polite.

The shop was expensive, but we did expect this.

When we arrived at our Mortehoe Caravan it was spotless and felt really spacious for our family of 4. Our double bedroom had plenty of room for our 5 month old’s cot (added as an extra) and our 3 year old daughter was excited to have her own twin room.

We were lucky enough to have wall-to-wall sunshine over our 4 days so spent each morning on Croyde’s beautiful surfing beach playing in the waves. It was about a 15 minute walk from our caravan but that’s toddler pace so probably 5 - 10 minutes for most people.
Afternoon's were spent in the on-site pool which is looking a little tired (not much has changed since I visited as a kid) but we had lots of fun there and our little girl loved it which is the main thing.
It would be great to have the pool timetable in the welcome pack. The first time we went we didn’t realise and we’re not told on entry that there was only 15 minutes left of the session.

In the evening’s we went to the Atlantic Showbar where the kids were mesmerised by the 5 - 7pm entertainment so we could relax.

The Coast restaurant and bar had an attached soft play and outdoor play area so was a good choice for dinner (food itself was not amazing but ok) as, again, we could relax while little ones were kept occupied. Apart from this, we ate at the Italian restaurant (not always open) and had take away from the fish and chippy, both of which were nice meals.

The kids had plenty of content to keep them busy throughout our stay which meant few tantrums, lots of giggles and smiles and sleep filled nights - everything parents of young children can ask for!

Most of the other guests were really nice but a caravan near ours were playing loud dance music when we arrived which was irritating. Fortunately they left the next day. There were also young guests driving around the site far too quickly one evening, reviving their engine needlessly. Not great behaviour on a park with toddlers running around (it was out of season so lots of young families with pre-schoolers). Can’t blame Ruda and the staff for the odd idiot though, you get them wherever you go.

All in all we had an excellent break. The greatest testament to this is that we’ve already booked a longer stay for next year in a Caravan with 3 rooms as our baby will be a toddler by then! We can’t wait!
