Great holiday as usual and very grateful for the opportunity to upgrade, my only complaint is that on Friday evening while my wife was queuing for food I when to the bar to get our drinks. While waiting to be served other people came to the bar and ordered drinks and food, on asking if I could order some food I was told no, even though other people were served. On returning from putting my drinks on our table I returned to the bar and even though my wife was still waiting people were being served drinks and food, on questioning this I was informed that the bar staff could call people over and serve them with drinks and food when no one was waiting, so why wasn't I treated equally?

A great holiday overall. A lovely village. A nice clean park. The caravan was one of the best we've had and certainly the best for sleeping - mattresses and pillows very comfortable. Great to have the washer/dryer for wet towels. Bathrooms a bit on the small side but we managed. The buffet style breakfast wasn't great however - apart from the beans nothing was warm and the bacon looked undercooked. We didn't try that again. Also in the Coast Bar there was a poster advertising a beer pitcher for a certain price which then gave a choice of about four beers - what it didn't say was that some of the beers were more expensive than the price on the poster so felt a bit cheated on that when we were asked to pay more. The food in the Coast Bar was very good and we would go there again. Cascades was great fun too.

We have stayed at Ruda site before and the children's entertainment was so much better last year. We felt the troupers wanted a laugh with each other rather than involving the children as much as they could of. Everything seemed to have a hidden cost e.g get your parents to give you a £1.00 for a bingo ticket etc. You don't mind this once but every night there was another hidden cost. Also there only seemed to be 2 troupers that knew the dances.

we also asked at reception for a map of the nature trail and got told they are updating the signs so they didn't have one. We got told the same thing last year.

As much as we love Croyde we are considering not returning next summer where as last year we rebooked before the end of our holiday.
