From coast to country

With such beautiful scenery, you’ll love spending your days outdoors with a holiday at Carmarthen Bay Holiday Park in Kidwelly. If you fancy rockpooling or seaside walks, you’ll find the shoreline right in front of the park. Nearby there are forest walks that lead to a beach at Pembrey Country Park plus great footpaths and cycle routes nearby too.

If all those adventures leave you looking for a spot of relaxation, you’ll find it on the park. Laze by the pool as the kids make the most of the flume or take them to the soft play area to let off some steam.

Situated between stunning beaches and countryside landscapes - separated by a train track - Camarthen Bay benefits from the best of both coastal and countryside scenery.

You’ll find a wide range of accommodation choices at Carmarthen Bay from caravan and lodge holidays to chalets.

The location of the park was great. We did however have a couple of issues. We had to wait nearly two hours for our dinner in the restaurant on the first night. When the food came out (at different times) it was not that great. For example the kids burgers were burnt, chips cold. Stopped us eating at thr resort again. Other diners had to wait to. We were given a full refund. Also none of the washing machines were in operation.

Expect to wait 2 hours and 30 mins for food at the only food venue on site, my poor children were starving! There were no washing facilities available (at all) for the entire week. With all four machines out of order and in the Easter holidays is unacceptable! The "soft play" area is not soft, as my son cut his head. The area is not monitored by staff so expect teenagers to be in there. Do not expect all the activities and events to be running as they were falsely advertised to me. My children planned their week on arrival as suggested in the "handy planner" which caused continued disappointment for them all week. When I wrote to the management team to complain about our awful experience they provided us with a load of excuses and no refund! Consequently I would never repeat a holiday with Parkdean and strongly advise others against booking one in future. As no matter how distraught or distressed your experience is there will be no acknowledgement of this or empathy or sympathy.
