About Bridlington

On a list of what a British seaside resort should have, Bridlington would tick the lot: classic promenades, multi-coloured beach huts, dazzling arcades and a golden beach – there are two here in fact.

Yet this lively harbour town goes even further, with a quaint Georgian Old Town filled with quirky independent shops, historic homes and some terrific pubs. Plus there’s a medieval chapel boasting some fine stained glass windows and a cheery Yorkshire-themed model village.

With so much to explore, keeping the family happy is a cinch. But it’s worth looking beyond Bridlington’s borders for even more holiday adventures.

The RSPB reserve at Bempton Cliffs is a favourite spot with twitchers, offering the chance to see half a million seabirds nesting in the dramatic white cliffs and diving into the sea below. And for extra animal encounters, visit Bridlington Animal Park or Sewerby Hall – an opulent Georgian manor house with penguins living in the grounds!
