Sadly everywhere smelled quite fausty when we arrived, apart from the reception which had some Lillys in it that smelled nice. Our caravan had thick dust on the cooker hood, most of the net curtains had mould over them, the grill pan had grease on it and the caravan was freezing. We eventually worked out how to get the heating to come on and went for food, the food was very nice but when we wanted a drink to go with it, the bar had hardly any choice. I don't drink alcohol or fizzy drinks so asked for a J2O and they didn't have any, stock was very low. I appreciate it was the last weekend of being open before the winter closedown and stock has to be run down but we couldn't even get anything from the shop as that too was almost empty! The toilets in the bar were aweful. The gents had loads of water on the floor, assuming it was water as they smelled horrid! We spent 1 night here out of the 3 nights we had booked, very disappointed. Staff were all very nice though. Wish we had saved our hard earned money and long drive from Dorset.

We arrived at the resort at 3.30pm on the Friday, our caravan wasn't ready until 4.00pm which was fine, when we got to our caravan we were really pleased, it was very nice, warm and comfortable. We fully unpacked and the kids were settled. Then we realised we had no hot water, we contacted the reception who sent the maintenance men straight over to have a look. They confirmed they had had problems with this boiler and it was not working and couldn't be fixed any time soon. So we were told we would have to move. We packed up the car and reception gave us a key to another caravan. By now it was dark, and the kids were hungry and tired. The caravan we were given was the disabled access caravan, which was not as nice as the original caravan, it was cold, it had poor lighting, the bathroom door was broken, also the childrens bedroom opened straight out into the kitchen which was not ideal. Generally it just didn't feel very comfortable and certainly wasn't what we had booked. We went to reception immediately and told them we weren't happy, and asked if they had anything else available, but we said we didn't want to move again that evening because the kids needed to eat and go to bed. The next morning we went back to reception to see if anything else was available, we were given keys to another caravan. Before we packed up the car again, we went to have a thorough look. On inspection we noticed that this caravan had wet carpet, and wet table and chairs in the lounge where the windows had been clearly left open and the torrential rain had driven straight in. We went back to reception, prepared just to pack up and go home, we then given the keys to caravan number 4. This caravan was very nice, so finally at 3.00pm we decided to stick it out for the last night. The receptionist was very helpful and did all they could. But we feel the whole experience was unacceptable, 4 caravans in a 2 night break is ridiculous!
