Overall good the surrounding was a bit run down. Not due to the park but the area it self.

The fact that the area the park is in is so poor probably didn't help out initial feelings towards the place. I wasn't aware of the Jaywick reputation prior to booking.
The caravan was a little run down although I it was a comfort +. It needed a good hoovering and the mattresses on all of the beds, springs dug out into your body . However the linen was super clean and white. The shower didn't seem to have any mains pressure. If we put it onto the intense setting we could get 4 weeding hers to spray out and if we increase The sprays to The full head then it trickled out and ran down The spout rather than at an angle where you could get under and wash. Needless to say that we tried once each, believing that The last person was exagerating! We made do at The kitchen sink for a hair wash.
The parks wooden climbing frame bolts were very dubiously attached to wood that had split.
The club house is tiny but the staff were friendly and the entertainment was as expected for a parkdean resort.
The swimming pool was ridiculously small, laughably so. In all honesty the reason we go to these parks is for the pools for the kids. We love being able to come and go as you please which this park would not be able to accommodate. You have to Buzz and ask for reception to let you in the site each time you come back in the car. For them to lift the barrier.
We were going to have a meal in the restaurant one night but it was so cold in there that you could see your breath so we politely excused ourselves and went to KFC.
The beach is literally next door which is great, you just have to walk beside the reception and over the sluice to get to it.
After 2 nights we decided to leave. In all honesty I didn't bring up any concerns with the staff until we were leaving. And even then I only mentioned the mattresses and shower so that they could sort them before the next people came, She was lovely, offering to sort it if we stayed. Which is all I would expect if I was staying, so that's a great response. However, we had made up our minds to go and were all packed up and looking forward to getting home and having showers.

Caravan was excellent, caravan park nice and clean all that you need for the family but swimming pool smells of drains and is on the small side. The local area is really run down and their is nothing to do, without going out in the car. The beach is a two minute walk, nice and clean.

Was very disappointed with this camp. Our caravan was very nice but very little to do on camp. First day we had no water for a while, second day electricity went in caravan. On the 3rd day my daughter and son-in-law's caravan ran out of gas and there was no gas to replace it. They were told it would be 3 days before they had anymore. So they had to leave early as they had no hot water, cooking or heating.

Had been there many times before. Jaywick isn't a must see Holiday Town by a long chalk, but the cam is just what I like and overall the staff are very helpful bar one! A great base to explore this part of the Essex Coast from Saint Osyth to Walton-on-the-Naze. Some fantastic beaches. Would go back to Martello again and well done to the GM and His Management team and staff.
