On arrival we (Myself, my Mum, my Son (12) , daughter (8) and Mums dog) were allocated a caravan that stated no pets, we had booked for our dog to come too. After speaking to the staff they advised that it was ok and we could use that caravan. They had not yet removed the notice.

Because we were so cold, we found the spare double quilt out, only to find it had poo and wee stains on it. After we complained, it was replaced quickly with a brand new one (although we didn't get a cover for it). We had paid extra for bedding.

After shopping for a cooked breakfast, we found the grill wasn't working! As it was Saturday, we had to wait until
Monday for a gas engineer to have a look at it. We then had to spend money on eating out instead!

The smoke alarm was situated very close to the oven, so even after a couple of minutes it kept going off. We wafted it for a day or so but removed the battery in order to (finally) cook the breakfast we had been looking forward to. It was replaced immediately afterwards though.

The microwave was our next option, however, it was positioned high up. Also it was not fixed in well, so when we opened the door it fell forwards a little bit!! Luckily we realised this before my son made a hot milk for his sister!!

The tin opener didn't work either, although as I had taken my own I didn't report this. We did advise the staff on leaving.

The beach was renamed 'bomb beach' by my son, as it is where Donna Nook military have a practice range. Needless to say we didn't venture across this area in case we came across an unexploded bomb! We had been looking forward to daily walks on the beach, for the kids and the dog. We had to travel nearly 9miles to Mablethorpe by car each time instead.

The only thing other than swimming was table tennis. We had hoped to do archery or other activities too. There was a kids play frame on site which was ok.

At swimming the pool felt 'unclean', I'm sure it was looked after but it could just be it was so busy. The changing room was very small as were the lockers. I had to squeeze my bag in. The doors didn't all lock either. There didn't seem enough lockers for the amount of people either, some people put their things on top of them.

The caravan in general was in a good clean state.

The staff were very helpful and polite.

Had a really nice stay but found booking everyone in at 4pm was a little odd as it caused long waits and children were bored , maybe should try staggering it . And even though there were heaters in the bedrooms we couldn't stay in them at night because it was freezing.
