About Troon

Small seaside town, so many attractions!

Top of the bill is the beach, a stretch of soft golden sand where you can admire views of Arran while you paddle in clean, cool waters. As evening approaches, grab a seat on the esplanade and take in the beautiful sunsets – they’re utterly soul-stirring!

For a classic taste of the seaside, visit Troon’s chic marina, where you can tuck into freshly caught, vinegar-drenched haddock and roughly cut chips as you watch the yachts bob around. Delicious!

For many, Troon’s big draw is the golf. There are over seven courses nearby and many of them are highly rated. Top billing goes to the Old Course at Royal Troon, which regularly plays host to the Open Championship and appears on many a golfer’s bucket list.

The Fairy Trail at Fullarton Woods offers family-friendly adventures, providing small-scale thrills for imaginative little ones.
