What could be better than ending the day with a drink and meal at the Haybarn Inn or make the most of the sunshine in the beer garden.

Of course, this part of the world is famous for its outdoor activities. So whether you’re looking for long walks, fishing, sailing, watersports, or simply sitting back and soaking up the views, you’ll find it with a Limefitt holiday lodge or caravan break.

Beautiful location, very tranquil and private. The Haybarn serves lovely food and the staff are cheerful and helpful. The site is very dog friendly with plenty of doggy bins and the enclosed field great for them to let off steam.

We also stayed at Fallbarrow, but Limefitt was definitely better for us. Beautiful surroundings, nice, quiet and smaller park, perfect for families. It is not within walking distance from a main town (like Fallbarrow to Bowness) but we like walking and admire the views, so Limefitt works beautifully. The reception also has a small shop at acceptable prices for all your urgent needs like milk, bread, snacks etc in case you forget something when you do go into Windermere. We actually shopped and spent more time in Ambleside as we knew Bowness and Windermere from the previous stay at Fallbarrow.
Nice pub with great food and service on site open from 5 pm and breakfast on weekends.
If you fancy a walk and a change of scenery for meals you can also walk out of the holiday park (turn right and follow the main road) about 10 min to another nice pub.
Fields for kids to play football and big play area, field for the dogs and a beautiful river running through the park. They also have pony rides.
Extremely dog friendly too and staff were amazing (reception, pub).
